Building ecologically with hollow woodchip-concrete blocks
 hollow woodchip-concrete blocks – an excellent product, extensively used and tried and tested for decades. The residential building industry in Europe would have one less alternative without this natural building product. Noise insulation, heat storage, acoustic insulation and vapour diffusion along with fire resistance and earthquake safety are just some of its most outstanding qualities. Wood is considered by many people to be the typical building material. But also concrete, a mouldable material made of cement, sand and gravel, has the same composition as many stone deposits found naturally. The natural raw material cement is used by Isospan Ltd. as a binding agent for the woodchip in the wood-concrete block production process. The carbon contained in the woodchip actively draws greenhouse gases out of the atmosphere bringing us a large step closer to reducing CO2 emissions.
